• Justin Bieber lands role in The Simpsons

Justin Bieber has landed a cameo role on 'The Simpsons'.

The 18-year-old singer will make a brief appearance on an upcoming episode of the hit cartoon comedy called 'The Fabulous Baker Boy' as a talent show hopeful who fails to make the cut.

Al Jean, the show's executive producer, told Entertainment Weekly: "He tries to get into a talent show that Bart is playing piano in and they won't admit him. Draw your own conclusions.

"It's a cameo. But all of his fans should watch every minute of the show, before and after he's on."

The 'Boyfriend' singer shared the news with his fans on twitter yesterday (21.08.12), posting: "Just did a voice over for the SIMPSONS!!! #swaggy (sic)"

However, the tweet has since been deleted.

It seems the teen idol's wish has been granted after Justin expressed his desire to experiment with acting.

The pop star recently said: "I hope to do some more acting. I have only done a few things like 'CSI', but I really want to do some more acting."

Justin briefly appeared as an alien in 'Men In Black 3' and will play the lead in Mark Wahlberg's upcoming basketball movie.

Justin's episode will air in 2013 as part of the long-running show's 24th season.

  • Interview... Nicole Scherzinger talks X Factor with Radio 1's Scott Mills

The X Factor’s Nicole Scherzinger was a guest on the Radio 1 Breakfast Show with Scott Mills today, where she gave her verdict on Mel B and soul cycling!

    Here’s how the conversation went...

Scott – hey Nicole how are you?

Nicole – I’m amazing how are you? I’m in LA, I’m in the studio actually recording my album I just took a break from the booth to say WHATSSUPPPPPP

Scott – so I imagine you’d be in like a massive mansion like one of the ones you see on Judges Houses with scented candles everywhere and big staircases and lots of minimal lighting and then you are speaking to me on a phone in a massive chair a bit like a throne and then you’re on a terrace talking to me, overlooking LA at night but you’re not…

Nicole – no but let’s go back to that happy place! I have a pretty cool studio over here in Los Angeles, it’s really nice it’s like home to me so it’s cosy, and there are candles when I record and a nice comfy cosy couch that I’m talking to you on.

Scott – so it’s not a million miles away from what I just described…so are you spending all night in the studio?

Nicole – yeh I pretty much live here when I’m not on a plane and doing X Factor and photoshoots and singing, I’m here

Scott – so what time do you get n in the morning your time, like 6/7am and then finish and go to sleep?

Nicole – I’ll probably get in at about 5am and then wake up in a few hours and then go to soul cycling and be in the studio by noon

Scott – I saw your twitter about soul cycling, what’s that?

Nicole – soul cycling is this thing that started in New York and they just brought it to LA and I want to bring it to London. It’s spinning class, it’s super cool, it’s like beyond spinning, it’s like a club and it’s like only candle lit, and it’s like inspiring and empowering, they’re like ‘be the warrior’, ‘you can do it’ ‘let go of your demons’ ‘raaaaaaaar’,

Scott – so is it like spinning and therapy at the same time?

Nicole – I swear to you it’s spinning and therapy at the exact same time.

    On Guest Judges:

Nicole –…I think it’s great that they got to have people like Mel B and Anastacia and I know they have a lot of other Guest Judges coming up too so they get to mix it up

Nicole – I originally came on to Guest Judge one show in London and then the first day I was there they asked me to stay permanently

Nicole – (on mel b) she was ruthless I loved it! … she gave Simon Cowell a run for his money

On the difference between the UK and the US X Factor’s:

Nicole – I think it’s more fun over here [the UK], there’s a lot more characters, the talent is really raw and home grown … it’s beautiful the talent over here, I’m REALLY impressed. I’m blown away.

Scott – how are you getting on with the other Judges?

Nicole – I love all the other Judges, I do, I get along really well with them….I’d never met Tulisa but she’s such a cool chick.

Nicole will be on The X Factor on Saturday 25 August, ITV1, 7.45pm

  • The Voice series 2 to feature spinning chairs in EVERY episode!

The Voice is to feature spinning chairs in EVERY episode in a bid to stop viewers switching off, according to Broadcast.

In the first series, the auditions attracted massive audiences, however viewers tuned out later in the competition labelling the show no different to any other singing contest.

The second series will also feature fewer live shows and will seek to be less predictable.

Speaking at the Edinburgh International TV Festival, BBC entertainment Controller Mark Linsey confirmed the format changes saying “For series two we’re looking at keeping them for every episode and having fewer live shows”.

He added “The audience has become very familiar with the grammar of talent shows - live works for The X Factor, Britain’s Got Talent and Strictly, but it’s become predictable for us and for shows like Superstar.”

Meanwhile ITV’s Director of Entertainment Elaine Bedell stuck her awe in, saying “Someone like Susan Boyle is what The Voice needs”.

Are you pleased about the format changes to The Voice, or couldn’t you give a monkeys? Comment below if you can be arsed.

  • Celebritain review The Wanted's JFK airport gig!

The Wanted wowed both unexpected travelers and die hard fans at New York's JFK Airport Wednesday night for an intimate performance right in the center of JetBlue's Terminal 5 for their Live from T5 Concert Series. Previous artists who have participated in this JetBlue sponsored event include Robyn, Taylor Swift, and Ellie Goulding.

Contest winners, travelers, and media started piling into the large terminal to witness a unique event for JFK, as well as a first-time venue choice for the guys of The Wanted. Max George, Jay McGuiness, Nathan Sykes, Tom Parker, and Siva Kaneswaran met with several press outlets, as well as a special meet and greet photo ops for a large crowd of adoring fans. With a massive sing-a-long and curious travelers and JetBlue personnel looking on, The Wanted then put on an 8-track performance, including hits from both of their debut, self-titled UK and US albums. The songs included All Time Low, Lose My Mind, Lightning, Gold Forever, Chasing the Sun, Heart Vacancy, and a cover of the Goo Goo Dolls' Iris. They finished the set with an very energetic performance of their recently gone TRIPLE platinum, debut US single, Glad You Came, before rushing off the stage.

What's next for The Wanted? A spot at the Syracuse State Fair, a special performance for the Good Morning America Concert Series in Central Park, and a SOLD-OUT gig for their first US arena date at Mohegan Sun in Uncasville, Connecticut before returning back west to Los Angeles.

They've come a long way since their official American debut on the Ellen DeGeneres show back in January. They've completed a national radio and small venue tour, booked quite a few American radio summer gigs, and have appeared on many syndicated radio and TV talk shows. What's next for The Wanted? They'll be touring with Justin Bieber for dates on his upcoming Believe Tour. They have also announced the release of their third studio album out this November.

World tour next year? #TheInternationalCode2013. Check out more photos on our twitter; @celebritain.
